Resume Making Tips
A resume is an organized synopsis of your educational qualifications, honed skills, experience and accomplishments. It should be prepared with the intention of providing your prospective employer the crucial details about yourself. This helps employers have a better idea about what you have done till date and how better you can make use of those honed skills. Resume sells you to the employer and its main purpose is to get an interview call/email.
Firstly, you must take some time out to prepare a fine resume; you must review, summarize and present your experiences and achievements in not more than two-three pages. All provided information should be thoroughly reviewed, you need to summarize your accomplishments in brief and provide precisely what you have achieved in these jobs, your skills etc. Prepare a resume only when you know about the employer and the position. This helps you in preparing an appropriate resume for the job.
Most candidates are inclined to assume that a better resume should run into more pages, while the fact is employers receive a chunk of resumes in response to their requirements and therefore cannot spend more than a minute going through each one. Hence it is imperative that your resume should not be too informative, but attractive and powerful. Your resumes purpose is to get your foot into the interview room.
